The Heyning-
Roelli Foundation
supports
talented but economically weak Bachelor’s and Master’s students,
who are part of an exchange program*
would like to study at a partner university for one or two semesters
or students at a Swiss university who have been invited to write their Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis at a foreign university
The students
continue their studies at their home university after the exchange
must be registered at the host university with the status “exchange student”
Excluded
are students,
who
are completing a “double-degree” program
have already completed an exchange in the past
have already started the exchange
(retroactively)
who are studying at a university of applied sciences or university of applied sciences
*The Swiss-European Mobility Program
(formerly Erasmus) and programs that Swiss and
foreign universities have agreed with each other
are considered exchange programs.
Scholarship
The Heyning-Roelli Foundation does not award full scholarships. It only provides grants to students to compensate for a budget deficit. Further scholarships are taken into account when determining the scholarship amount.
FAQ
The Board of Trustees will inform the applicant by e-mail of the approval or rejection of the application by the end of July or the end of November
at the latest. Early requests will not be answered.
There is no entitlement to reasons for the respective decision.
No. There is no template.
You can, for example Submit bank documents, tax returns, letters from relatives, etc. The documents should demonstrate to the Board of Trustees that you are unable to cover the costs of the exchange / stay from your own resources.
Scholarships are generally based on the student’s need, the destination and the duration of their studies abroad. Each dossier is examined individually by the Board of Trustees and the amount is determined.
We do not accept applications outside the deadlines. Exception: Swiss students who were invited to write their Master’s thesis at a foreign university after the deadline.
No. As soon as you have arrived in Switzerland and opened an account with a bank, we ask you to complete and sign the declaration of commitment and send the document by e-mail to heyning-roelli@blumgrob.ch.
The scholarship will be paid as soon as the signed and completed declaration of commitment has been received and/or at the earliest one month before the start of the exchange.
No. Universities of applied sciences are not covered by the purpose of the foundation.
Please submit the confirmation that you have completed the exchange or the list of services at the end of the exchange.
